Providers were paying for policy packs that did not describe their business, keeping registers in spreadsheets nobody checked, and finding out at audit what the auditor actually wanted to see. Tools that did exist were built for other industries and adapted to the NDIS afterwards. audito is built the other way round: the NDIS Practice Standards first, and everything else around them.

- NDIS-specific, not generic compliance software. Built for the Practice Standards, the verification and certification audits and every supplementary module.
- Built for the people running the service. Plain English, guided steps and no compliance jargon you have to learn first.
- Independent of your audit. We are a software company. We are not an approved quality auditor, we do not audit or certify providers, and we have no role in your audit or registration decision.
- Australian data stays in Australia. Your account data and files are stored in Sydney, and we do not collect participant records.
What we will never do
- Promise you will pass. Approved quality auditors are independent. Anyone guaranteeing an outcome is guessing.
- Sell your data. Your answers and documents are stored in Australia (Sydney), encrypted, private to your organisation and never sold. We share only what our service providers need to run the service, as listed in our privacy policy.
- Hide the price. Every plan and extra is priced on the website, or clearly marked as quoted.
- Hold your documents hostage. They are yours to keep and use, even after you cancel.

Written against the rules
Each document is written against the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators as published on the Federal Register of Legislation, plus the related NDIS rules on incidents, complaints, restrictive practices, worker screening and the Code of Conduct.
Mapped to standards
Documents are mapped to the outcomes they support, so the self-assessment, evidence checklist and gap check all point to the same place.
Watched for changes
Official sources are monitored. Each change is summarised and reviewed by a person before any document is re-issued.
Re-issued, not rewritten
Updated documents arrive for you to review and accept. Your own edits are kept and every version is stored.
Your account data is stored in Australia.
Your account data and files are stored in Australia (Sydney). Files sit in private storage and are never on public links. We do not collect participant information: audito holds your organisation's documents and audit preparation, and participant records stay in your own systems. Passwords are stored hashed, every page is served over HTTPS, and auditor access uses a passcode, expires on the date you choose and is logged.
We use a small number of service providers for payments, email and our assistant, and some of them handle limited details outside Australia, mainly in the United States. They are listed in our privacy policy, with what each one receives and where.
